Update 8/26

Hello All,

Today was our first Project Review in class. I did ok, I need to work on my number projections on the budget plan and cut down on employees. Overall my presentation was good, 90 out of 100. I have to fix my problems with Project One, but still have to move on to Project Two.

Tomorrow is the first Project Review. I will be showing my MMORPG Game:Avalon's Gate.

Update 8/19

Hello All,

Today was milestone review. I have a couple changes to make. My game is over a 7 year span, I need to shorten it to a 5 year span. The budget needs to reflect the cost of per year and overall cost. The flowchart needs to flow downward. Also the Marketing/PR plan needs to be a 2 page report. I have the milestone of my next game project coming up on Tuesday.

Update 8/18

Hello All,

This week was finishing up on my PR and Marketing Plan also the Budget and Flowchart. I have been making the necessary changes to my game schedule as suggested. I have rewritten all the milestones and tasks to reflect a three year time table. Tomorrow is milestone check review for the class.

8/12 Update

Hello All,

Today was milestone update in class. The update was to make sure we are moving along on the project. I was told to do real time production dates. I started the project with a simple game timeline to establish the milestone task list. The goal I was shooting for was to show the process of the game development. I was instructed to make a realistic, around 3 year, game time frame. I have to do more research for that. Also I put all the employees under hourly pay. I need to change the pay to yearly salary scale. The employee list needs to reflect how many roles are need for the area instead of just the title needed for the area. I'm still working on the Marketing & PR, and Budget report due on Tuesday. I will create a flowchart also, but I'm still yet to decide what kind.

Update 8/11

Hello All,

I had a little trouble getting a working program that I could use on any computer, but I finally have one. I have a portable program called Open Project. I can import my Microsoft Project Files in to this program and use it anywhere. I had to push my first milestone back until Thursday 8/12. Due to work schedule and not having Project available everywhere, it was a problem. I can't do anything about my work schedule, but I fixed my program issue. So, I'm at school now finishing up my first milestone and starting my next one. Marketing & PR and Budget & Flowchart are next.

Tuesday 8/31 Report with Marketing and PR for the project.
Create the Game Budget and flowchart for Project.

Thursday 9/2 Produce all information in Production File.

Tuesday 9/7 Survival Horror Project 3: Schedule from concept to the gold phase
with employees (HR doc) and assigned tasks.

I did not get approved to move forward due to my idea. So I have changed my idea to creating 8 projects/8 different game genres, one for each remaining week. I'm currently working on the milestone list just in case Kim approves the new project.
